Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood

About Jahmel K. Weary-Miller

Making the choice to join Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was not a very difficult one.  Admittedly, I entered college with another organization in mind until I came to the realization that the members of the other organization did not manifest the characteristics I was looking for within a sisterhood.  Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. encompassed all of the qualities I wished to be associated with and like-minded women.

I'm a very approachable person. I enjoy getting to know others and serving others within the community. I'm very assertive and often times people mistake my assertion for aggression, and I'm in no way an aggressive individual.
I have many memorable experiences in Zeta that have impacted me in some way. However, my most recent experience came from my involvement in ZOL. I was part of Cohort 12, and the connections I made coupled with the curriculum learned was totally invaluable.
My husband is my bestie. We enjoy traveling and spending time with our family and close loved ones. I enjoy journaling, editing, and proofreading written work. When I feel like not doing much, I will binge watch LMN, ID Channel or a good Netflix series.
By far, this question stumps me every time because all of the principles resonate with me. Finer Womanhood is in a class by itself. Through the years, I have always marveled at how Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. had Finer Womanhood, which set us apart from other sororities. Just because a female identifies as a woman, it does not mean that woman is Finer and acts like a lady at all times
My sisters always have my back. I know this because earlier in my Zeta journey, I wanted to withdraw from school. However, my sisters gave me daily words of encouragement and kept me accountable for my academic journey. There were times my sisters even joined me at study hall hours to ensure I did my part and consistently pulled my weight prior to graduation.
